Fabrication and production assistant needed for design build shop in northwest Denver. Steel fabrication specifically hand rails, and guard rails is preferred . Any custom steel fabrication, mig welding, torch cutting and ability to lift 75+ lBS is required. Residential and commercial construction experience is preferred. We build anything from custom furniture, stairs, structural steel, parts, railings, guard rails, barn doors, any type of doors, frames, tables you name it we do it. Requirements:
This position will take place in the 4 walls of our Denver location fab plant. Must be able to handle: good music, walking, standing, bending, lifting items and working as part of a team. Job will require regular use of machines, hand tools, equipment, power tools and occasionally work with chemicals. Must have basic high school algebra math knowledge, must know how to read a tape measure, must be familiar with reading and understanding construction and shop drawings and plans. Must have clean driving record with active driver license. 

Job Description: 
Works as production and fabrication assistant under direct supervision of project manager. Tasks include completing projects delivered and drawn from project manager, complete projects from drawings to installation. Since we are a full scale design build firm field welding, installation, and other tasks not related to welding may be required. Flexibility and team work is extremely important. 

Duties and Responsibilities:
Works directly with the project manager for the purpose of understanding our production model. Must be able to obtain the following basic skills during employment: reading tape measure, reading and understanding shop drawings, shop area clean up and organization, ability to order and purchase materials and inventory, maintain safety procedures, assumes responsibility for quality and speed, must understand the fine line between custom and production, functions as a team player, and looks for ways to improve safety, speed and efficiency. Must demonstrate loyalty to the company and mutual respect for other personnel. Must show up at 7:30am every morning monday through friday. 

Compensation and Hours:
Full Time position m-f occasional saturday, 40-50 hours/week
Compensation will be strictly based on experience and speed. Starting wage will range from $15-$30 pending experience. Frequent opportunities for bonuses and raises, are performance based and driven.
